This article will discuss the effects of playing online games on academic performance and mental health. We will also examine the Third-person effect and the effects of online gaming addiction. Finally, we will discuss the effects of online gaming on a person’s addiction to other people. This study is the first to examine the effects of online gaming on a person’s overall mental health. However, further studies are needed to determine whether this theory can be applied to other media.
Addiction to online games
Internet games have become a popular form of entertainment for people of all ages, but they can also have harmful effects. There has been much attention paid to online game addiction and its potential effects. The Indonesian Online Game Addiction Questionnaire draws on earlier theories about game addiction and research on the internet. It contains seven items rated on a five-point Likert scale that have been validated in more than 1,400 high school students in four cities.
Standard video games are designed to be played by one person alone and usually involve a goal or standard that must be reached.
